Point 006 discharged from November 17 through November 22 throuc~
a siphon installed cn the pond outlet and was sailed one (1) time during this
period. 1hi-`y day average values reported on the enclose3 D~Il2's represent the
maximum thirty day average values gene-ated for the quazte_r.
All three effluent limitation exceederices reported for the quarter involved the
disrhaL'~e from point 001. The BOD minimum percent removal criteria (850) was not
met in October duri?;tg the quarter. EOD percent removal doamwstted during
Oc`,.ober, November, and December was 76~, 98%, and 86; respectively. COVCC
attributes the October results to lc,<+ initial loadings and a faulty blaaer in the
wastewater treatment plant which was repaired in November. Effluent BOD values
docwnented for each month were well below permit limitations at 23.1, <1, and 6.2
m3/1 respectively.
The 30-day and maximum 7-day geometric averages for fecal coliform were exceeded
during October at outfall 001 due to a malfunction with the plant's chlorinator
unit. The chlorinator malfunctioned on October 24th or 25th. A damaged pump was
removed during the week of the 25th, repaired, and reinstalled on November 5,
1993. On October 27, the October monthly water satg3le was obtained from the
• plant. The November monthly water sample was riot collected until November 30 and
therefore could not be used to reduce the 30 day geometric average reported.
Coliform levels durirtg November and December were well within permit limitations.
