CX~0033685, SEDCCNID OUARTFR 1993 DISCHARGE <br />MONITORING RE~RTS <br />TU Ffiom It May Concern: <br />Please find enclosed seven cacpleted ixIIt forms addressing the secorxj quarter of <br />1993 for NPDES Permit No. CO-0033685. One (1) effluent limitation was exceeded <br />during the quarter. <br />'TWO (2) discharge points addressed under Permit No. CU-0033685 experienced <br />disr'h~t"ge during the second quarter of 1993. Point 001, consisting of effluent <br />frana domestic wastewater treatment facility, discha2~ed continuously throughout <br />the quarter. Points 002, 003, 004, and 005 did not experience dischazges duriry <br />the quarter. Point 006 discharged continuously throuc~out the first fifteen days <br />of the quarter through a siphon system installed on the pond outlet and was <br />sampled three (3) times duri~ this period. `Thirty day average values reported <br />on the enclosed Dhfft's represent the maxinnrm thirty day average ~ralues generated <br />for the quarter. <br />The effluent limitation exceeded during the rntaTtor involved the dischal~e from <br />point 001. The BOD minimum percent removal criteria (85%) was not met durirg the <br />April sampling of this din na*ge. HOD removal docwnented during April was 81%. <br />COVCC attributes this result to a faulty blower in the wastewater treatment plant <br />whic.3} was repaired as quickly as possible. BOD removal percentages doclmlented <br />in May (97 e) and June (990) indicate the problem was corrected. <br />Although the BDD minimum percent removal criteria for April was not met, it <br />should be noted that BOD values doGlunented for the month were well Belot permit <br />limitations. The April 30 day average is reported as 1.0 lb/day (permit <br />rernrirement = 3.1 lb/day) and 11.9 n9/1 (permit requirmlent = 30 m9/1).
