Newlin Creek Monument
Data collected for the Newlin Creek Monument are shown on Table
3, Subsidence Monitoring Data Summary. No mining has taken place
in the area of the monument for the period of record.
The data indicates that no additional subsidence is occurring at
the monument location. As stated in a previous semi-annual re-
port, most of the total subsidence to date occurred during the
period of May through September, 1985. It is anticipated that
only minor additional subsidence will occur at the monitoring
point.
Thompson Ranch Structures
All data for the period of record are presented on Table 3, Sub-
sidence Monitoring Data Summary. The data indicates that only
minor subsidence has occurred at the structure locations, and no
additional subsidence was measured for the period of record. It
is anticipated that only minor additional subsidence will contin-
ue to occur at these structures.
Conclusions
The zequired subsidence monitoring program continues to measure
the magnitude of subsidence on structures and within the high-
resolution grid area. The maximum subsidence values measured to
date are comparable to the predictions made in the mining permit.
No structural damage has been observed, or is expected to occur,
as a result of Southfield's mining operations. Further subsi-
dence occurring at the monitored structures and monuments is
expected to be minor and within maximum values predicted in the
mining permit.
or.: ::,
