TXI BOULDERO
To: State of Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street
From: Randy Moulton
Plant Manager
TXI Boulder
RE: Permit No. M1988-108
Western Aggregates, Mining Report
Date 11/04/2005
Western Aggregates TXI Boulder Permit Number 1988-108 is actively mining and
reclaiming at 11728 Hwy. 93 near Boulder. During the year ending 2005 all pit benching
and floor elevation has been maintained to what it was in the previous year. (Quarry depth
in the permit-desired depth reached). We still calculate that we have about 15 acres total
open quarry. With the amount of mineable surface area open we will not have to disturb
any more area for the up coming year. Reclamation is still on going. We will continue to
reclaim the northeast face as the year goes on. In the future we will relocate our pond area
to the south. At that time we will reclaim the north side, slope to the proper grade and we
will seed that area as we reclaim and move our Quanry in a southerly direction.
We still have an ongoing Knapp weed program with our neighbors to the south (Rocky
Flats}. We will conrtinue to wont with the Knapp weed problem. Oar proogram includes ail
of TXI Boulder's leased and fee property.
We have enclosed pictures of our Quarry.
Randy Moulton
Plant Manager
TXl Boulder
