Introduction• <br />According to Stipulation No. 29, Permit No. C-81-038, the Operator submits the <br />following Annual Mine Inflow Report for the period of July 1, 1995 through June <br />30, 1996. <br />Mining Locations and Projections: <br />1 RiT <br />Panel 1 Right was advanced approximately 450 feet beginning at crosscut five and <br />ending at crosscut nine during 1996 because of deteriorating ground conditions and <br />coal quality. No secondary mining took place in the 1 Right Section. Roof seeps <br />and floor seeps were encountered during advancement of 1 Right however, these <br />seeps were similar to previous inflows and only flowed for a short duration. 1 Right <br />Panel was sealed in March of 1996. <br />22 Right: <br />• Pane12 Right was advance approximately 2,750 feet during 1996 with only minimal <br />secondary mining be done because of a blimp that occurred on May 10, 1996. <br />Portions of Panel 2 Right were sealed behveen crosscuts 12 and 13 because of the <br />bump and only floor coal could be mined in rooms outby seals in Panel 2 Right. <br />Roof seeps and floor seeps were encormtered in the panel However, these seeps <br />were similar to previous inflows and only flowed for short durations. <br />2 ,/= Right: <br />Panel 2 '/: Right was advance approximately 2,460 feet during 1996 with only <br />minimal secondary mining be done. Full pillar extraction was attempted during <br />retreat mining in Pane12 '/z Right, however, because of excessive abutment loads <br />encountered in the section, full pillar extraction ceased and only bottom coal was <br />mined. Roof seeps and floor seeps were encountered in the panel however, these <br />seeps were similar to previous inflows and only flowed for short durations. <br />L <br />Page -2- <br />
