berms on the mine perimeter for use in reclamation. We com-
pleted the berm along the south side of the permit area near
where the old Rocky Flats West Entrance road was built. This
berm is approximately 17 feet north of the permit line. In ad-
dition, we began placing reclamation material along the eastern
permit line for use when reclamation begins in that area.
(2) No reclamation was required this year. The site berms will be
revegetated when they are complete. This berm is required by
the county special use permit.
(3) Mining will continue in the stripped area and will progress to
the east and north. The area along the south line is being
benched as mining gets deeper. These benches will then be
graded to the final pit slope of 2:1 once the mine floor is
reached. The Church Pit immediately west of this area is per-
mitted and as approved in both permits the gravel operator is
mining thru the west side of the Rocky Flats Pit into the
Church Pit. No sloping will be required along the line sepa-
rating the two mines. Growth medium will continue to be stock-
piled in berms along the mine perimeter for use in reclamation.
(4) No reclamation is called for during the next year. The sloping
around the mine perimeter, where mining is complete, will be
done as mining progresses. The finer material that is waste
material from gravel processing will be used to resoil the
graded slopes from the ground surface to the pit floor.
(5) CURRENT CONTACT
Hall-Irwin Corporation
Jeff Gregg, Resource Manager (970) 587-7279
301 Centennial Dr.
Milliken, CO 80543
The effective date of all information contained herein is January
9, 2007.
