disturbed acreage for Right-Of-Way (ROW), pipelines, and roads. In 1995, drill pads (3) <br />• were constructed for cavity #4 with total acreage of 5.9. Through 1995, a total of 56.9 <br />acres have been disturbed for the mine site. <br />Figure 5-1 illustrates mine site disturbance at year end, planned disturbance in 1996 <br />through 1998. Production well field expansion through 1998 will include a new vertical <br />well for cavity #2 probably on an existing disturbed area, and three horizontal wells south <br />of the lease line. <br />5.2 Reaulatorv Compliance <br />5.2.1 Reaulatorv Activity <br />The annual report for 1994 and fee were submitted to Division of Minerals and Geology <br />• (DMG) prior to anniversary date of January 31, 1995. A Technical Revision was <br />submitted/approved for cavity #5 (three wells), a lined pit for bicarb/soil, and a plan to <br />contain aN brine spills on drill pad. Plans for new wells associated with cavity #5 have <br />been postponed, and 1996 activity will focus on cavities #1, 2, 3, and 4. Disturbed <br />acreage approved under DMG permit remained at 73 acres with a total of 56.9 acres <br />disturbed through 1995. DMG questions regarding BLM lease modification for 520 acres <br />and monitoring ground water near process and waste ponds were answered. <br />27 <br />
