/~ <br />Addendum to <br />WESTERN FUELS COLORADO- 2003 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT <br />Question: "Please provide topsoil replacement thickness verification for 2003 <br />topsoiled areas. The two topsoil sample locations coinciding with WFC 's grid <br />are TS60 and TS61." <br />Answer: TS60 topsoil depth = 2.1 ft <br />TS61 topsoil depth = 1.25 ft <br />Question: "Exhibit 2.05.4-4 shows various colored fill defining distinct reclamation <br />areas yet the map legend does not define what the different fill patterns <br />represent. Please have WFC include this information on the exhibit." <br />Answer: The color code blocks have labels of Block A, Block B, Block C, and <br />Block D. The definition of Block A, B, C and D are shown in table form in the <br />bottom left portion of the Exhibit. <br />3 Question: "No topsoil quality data was included fro 2003 topsoil lay down. Based <br />upon Exhibit 2003-6 data should be provided for TS60 and TS-61. This <br />information needs to be forwarded to the Division:" <br />Answer: Topsoil quality data for TS60 and TS61 is attached. <br />4 Question: "Please have W FC identify the formulation of fertilizer applied in <br />2003." <br />Answer: Irrigated fields receive a fertilizer formula of: 50% by wt of 34-0-0 and <br />50% by wt of 18-46-0. Dryland Pasture fields receive 100% by wt of 34-0-0. <br />5 Question: "Please have Western Fuels-Colorado provide information regarding <br />the herbicide applied on the permit area." <br />Answer: The principal weeds treated during 2003 were Russian Knapweed and <br />Canada Thistle. The principal weed herbicide was Tordon 22K TM. The chemical <br />application rate was approximately 2 quarts/acre. A marking dye was used with <br />the weed herbicides to maximize spray effectiveness. <br />6 Question: "Seed mix used and seeding rate needs to be included in the annual <br />report. Please have Western Fuels-Colorado provide this information for 2003." <br />Answer: Per WFC's approved revegetation plan, Section 2.05.4(2)(e),pg. 6, <br />WFC has planted Seed Mix #5-Irrigated Pasture and Irrigated Grass Hay Mix on <br />all acres seeded in 2003.
