(BMRI) - San Luis <br />Activities <br />During the week of November 22, 1993, construction <br />activities were limited to placement of liner cover material <br />along the north and east sides of the facility and <br />stockpiling of liner cover material in the borrow pit. <br />Construction of the main embankment continued. On November <br />18, the Division verbally approved the tie-in of the south <br />abutment of the main embankment. Doug Gibbs of Water, <br />Waste, and Land (WWL) has been on-site since November 18. <br />On November 22, Allen Sorenson inspected the site; hiss <br />inspection report identified no concerns or problems. <br />Settlement marker information is enclosed. Marker #6 was <br />damaged on November 20. <br />The following is a summary of construction activities for <br />the week of November 29, 1993: <br />-Continue stockpiling and placement of liner cover ma•r_erial <br />on the east side of the facility. Approximately 7 acres of <br />liner remains to receive drainage blanket material. We <br />expect to complete placement of the drainage blanket by <br />early December, pending weather conditions. <br />-Continue construction activities for the main embankment. <br />BMRI has not received inspection reports from the Division's <br />site visits on October 7 and October 28. BMRI requests that <br />these reports be immediately issued so that any concerns <br />noted by the Division can be quickly resolved.
