Supplemental Sheet
1992 Annual Report
Daniels Pit #2 - M-73-007
Item 5: The 57 acres stated here includes land reclaimed previously, land under Fnal reclamation,
and land temporarily reclaimed under the disturbance reduction plan.
Item 6: Following are descriptions of land under some type of reclamation and labeled on the maps.
West Side:
Backfilled (under use): This is land that was backfilled as sediment basins. It is near the final
contour, but is continuing to be used as part of the processing. It is a corridor between this operation
and the Castle Sand Pit to the north.
TopsoiURoads: Most of this land contains topsoil stockpiles, but a few minor access roads go through
this area.
Under Reclamation: This land is very near its final grade and is ready for topsoiling. It is expected
this land will be placed under final reclamation early in 1993.
Balled: This land is an old gravel mining pit. It has been backfilled with sludge and is currently
scheduled for final reclamation. That may be completed early in 1993 along with the area to the
north.
Reclaimed: This land was placed under final reclamation several years ago.
Undisturbed: These lands have little or no disturbance resulting from the mining operation.
East Side:
Temporary Reclaimed: This land was retopsoiled and revegetated under the disturbance reduction
plan.
Reclaimed: Thie land was reclaimed when the ditch was installed.
Backfilled (Temporary): This land has been graded and backfilled, but will be redisturbed in the
future.
Note: All land on the east side of Academy that is not within the heavy lines and is not
Labeled is in an undisturbed condition.
Supplemental Sheet Daniels Pit 2 Annual Report Jan 4, 93 Page 1
