Manh 2002 H-G Coal Company * 2007 AxnualRedamatiax axd Hydrology Repat ~ 2-2 <br />Pazcels 003, HG-8 and E received shrub augmentation plantings in 1996. Approxitnately, 7.8 <br />acres were planted with 6,388 woody stems consisting of willow, dogwood, cottonwood, <br />Woods rose, curtantberry, buffaloberry, chokecherry, serviceberry, fendlera, Douglas <br />hawthorn, snowberry, cinquefo$, and shrubby cinquefoil. In addition, approximately 1,200 <br />Gambel's oak atoms were planted. In 1997, an additional 930 currantberry and 578 Woods <br />rose were planted to supplement the stem counts in the Pazcel E and Pond 004 South shrub <br />azeas. <br />As part of Technical Revision No. 62 (TR-62), HGTI and CDMG established a shrub density <br />standazd of 750 stems per acre for the three shrub augmentation pazcels. A woody stem <br />count of the augmentation parcels was conducted doting June 2001. The shrub density in the <br />parcels was greater than the 750 stems per acre shrub density standard, <br />OFFICE OF SURFACE MINING DISTURBED AREA CATEGORIES <br />Acret in long-term mining or reclamation facilitier. <br />The entire permit azea of approximately 8.9 acres is in long-term reclamation. <br />Acrer in active mining areas <br />There is no active nvtilug at the Hayden Gulch Kline. The entire mine is in long-term <br />reclamation. <br />Acres needed/planted for last l0yearr or more: <br />' The slump pazcel near the former highwall was seeded for herbaceous cover in 1987. <br />Augmentation seeding was conducted in 1998 to revegetate the azea disturbed during the <br />slump azea mitigation work. <br />The Pond 003 parcel was seeded for herbaceous cover in 1987. Shrub augmentation planting <br />occurred in 1996. <br />' The Pond HG-8 parcel was seeded for herbaceous cover in 1982.
