<br />Robinson Brick Company is filing this Annual Report providing a Notice of Intent to <br />Continue Mining Operations at Apache Mine located in EI Paso County, Colorado. The <br />mine is on active status, operating more than 180 days per year. The mine has a phased <br />reclamation plan. <br />Operations <br />Clay mining and overburden removal operations continue in accordance with the mine <br />plan. Clay was mined from the area outlined in brown as shown on the accompanying <br />map. <br />Permitted acreage was increased with the passage of a permit amendment from 1364 <br />acres to 1691 acres. In addition, the total maximum allowable disturbed area at any one <br />time was increased from 50 acres to 85 acres. The 1999 mining campaign disturbed an <br />additional 2.2 acres of land for currently 55.9 acres of total disturbance. No additional <br />acres were reclaimed during this reporting period, however, 23 acres was seeded during <br />the fall of 1999. <br />Mining operations in 2000 will continue in the southern area. No additional disturbance <br />is anticipated. <br />
