Located at the 5th cross section in Deep Creek near the first west drainage <br />south of West Flatiron. <br />• Two rebar control points are installed, one on either side of the stream. <br />' • Cross section is located above the eastern edge of projected longwall panel 16 near a <br />spring-fed stream flowing from the west. <br />' Location 6. Located at the 6'h and £nal cross section in Deep Creek north of the west <br />drainage south of West Flatiron. <br />• A GPS control point is located a few hundred feet west of the trail. <br />• Two rebar control points are installed, one on either side of the stream. <br />' • Cross section is located 1,300 feet east of the centerline of projected longwall panel 14. <br />• An automatic water-monitoring station is installed near the west bank of the stream. Bear <br />claw marks were observed on one comer of the recorder enclosure. <br />' Location 7. Located in exposed bedrock at Apache Rocks above the east edge of longwall <br />panel 12, the tail-gate entries of longwall panel 13, and the northern edge of <br />mined-out longwall panel 13. Point also is at Location 11 of September 16, <br />' 1999. <br />• Cracks are located in the tension zone above the eastern edge of panel 12 in about 1,400 <br />feet of overburden (see Figures 1, 2, and 3). The cracks are located 250 to 400 feet east <br />of the eastern mining limit of panel 12, but are also within the area of influence of mined- <br />out longwall panel 13.
