Bromley Pit, MLR File 79-165 Fed Tax ID # 84-0517799 Anniversary Date: October 25, 1996 Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit is October 25, 1996. Please refer to the Annual Report Map for 1996 for the locations of areas discussed in this report. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. A Technical Revision was approved on August 21, 1996 that addressed items concerning reclamation and availability of topsoil needed to cover the disturbed area. The Financial Warranty was increased to $29, 300 at that time, the permitted area is 14 .20 ± and the pit is not Phased. A sign that conforms with rule 6.7 Signs and Markers is installed at the entrance to the pit. We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report requirements as outlined in Rule 1. 15 of the Rules and Regulations, and in the annual notice letter. (1) Mining will begin on the western 1.87 ac. ± parcel in 1997. (2) We have been filling the pit with clean fill consisting of concrete, old asphalt and dirt (brown) . Reclamation has been successful in regards with the backfilling. Backfilling will continue until the site is completely filled to the same approximate elevation as the railroad. The topsoil stockpiles have not been disturbed this year. The northern 1.70 acres ± was resoiled this spring (tan) with material available offsite.
