Annual Report
Currier Gravel Pit
M-1980-203
June 29, 2007
Mesa County, Colorado
Permitted acreage is less than 10 acres.
No mining or crushing activity for the report year.
No acres were reclaimed for the report year.
Crushing and mining may occur in the next report year.
No changes to previous map are necessary.
This gravel pit is, on intermittent status. Historically, grave] demand for this remote
location comes from Forest Service or Mesa County governments for infrequent road
repairs. However, oi] and gas companies are beginning to express interest in gravel for
their wellpads and access roads in the area. The most recent crushing activity occurred
during May, 2005. There is a stockpile of gravel at the site. There was loading and
trucking of stockpiled materials during the report year of 95 days. Oftentimes this was
one or two dump truck loads per day used by operator on their own private ranch roads.
This gravel pit was inspected on 8-22-06. All issues raised were satisfactorily abated.
Operator does not believe there will be more than 180 days of activity in the coming year.
Acreage is correctly depicted on the previously submitted map. Weed spraying did occur
during the report year. Pit location markers are located annually.
