Table 5 provides a comparison of the acreage values provided in Section 3.1.2.2 of [he permit and the
final disposition of the acreage in the field.
Notes:
1. Acreage in [his category include: West Ridge -retained road segment within the mining area as depicted on
Exhibit 3.1-3 (major disturbance). Facilities -all other retained roads, upper facilities azea, lower facilities
area, permanent impoundments with associated permanent and temporary ditches (i.e. north Moffat ditch
and south Moffat ditch extension), and the Old Tipple Road Area. In addition to the previous Annual
Reclamation Reports 7b.0 retained facility acres, 7.0 acres from the Old Tipple Road Area were compiled
beginning with the 2005 Annual Reclamation Report.
2. Acreage in this category consists primarily of excess haul road, access road, and utility corridor widths
designated as affected but no[ actually disturbed (see exhibit 3.1-3 of permit). Most haul roads had a
designated affected width of 400 feet while less than 150 feet was actually affected. Additionally several
acres upslope of the Moffat pond were designated as affected but no[ actually disturbed.
3. Excludes acres that remain undisturbed. The Facilities Affected Area Acres Disturbed Total was decreased
by l i L9 acres that remain undisturbed. In addition [o the previous Annual Reclamation Reports 105.8
undisturbed acres, 6.l acres from [he Old Tipple Road Area were compiled beginning with the 2005 Annual
Reclamation Report.
4. Excludes acres where Phase III has been achieved. The Facilities Affected Area; Bond Release Numbers SL-
l, SL-5, SL-6, SL-8 and SL-9 have reached Bond Phase III. This decreased the Facilities Affected Area
Cumulative Total by 46.4 acres. The East Ridge Affected Area; Bond Release Number SL-5 has reached
Bond Phase III. This decreased the East Ridge Affected Area Cumulative Total by 37.5 acres. The South
of Shop Affected Area; Bond Release Number SL-5 has reached Bond Phase III. This decreased the South
of Shop Affected Area Cumulative Total by 10.5 acres.
