~..

ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2000
MINING PERMIT NO.: M-93-030
As of IJanuary 2001, all impact areas are as indicated on the accompanying updated
"Affected Lands Map" (ALM). All excavations have been backfilled, contour graded,
and seeded as required, except for areas 2 and 5 in mining parcel No. 3 as shown on the
(ALM). These two pits will excavated to a deeper level and the areas will not be
increased unless values discovered require more area to recover them.
Activity in the permitted areas during the mining season of 2000 was limited to smaller
exploratory excavation. As a result of the examination and study of the aeeas by a
professional geologist some cross-cut trenches and pot-holes were dug to determine the
contents of the subsurface geology at selected sites. Some additional information was
gained regarding trends, leads, and geologic traits that are existing. Availability of heavy
equipment did not allow excavation at many other sites, which need examination at
deeper levels below any surface overburden. It is planned to conduct more exploration
during the oncoming 2001 season. All of the above-mentioned exploratory excavations
were backfilled, contour graded and seeded immediately after each opening was
examined and recorded. Any sites showing evidence to encourage further mining will
probably be re-opened and mined some time in the future. It is hoped that work in the
areas in 2001 will be productive and net enough profit so operations can be continued.
The above noted statements consist of all that I am aware of at this time. I will, of course,
submit a revised ALM as soon as information is available. Please contact me if you have
any questions.
The "Operators" Plan of Operations with the U. S. Forest Service (USFS) will terminate
4/15/2001 and the Operator is in the process of submitting application to the U.S.F.S. to
obtain renewal or extension of the plan for another ten (10) years. The Operator does not
expect any significant problems or complications in the process. However, with all of the
may new regulations the Operator may experience a delay in starting operations.
If there are any questions or needed additional information you may need, please contact
the Owner/Operator at the address or telephone number shown on the accompanying
data.
Sincerely, __
~ ~, ~,,~ 3~a~ jaoa~
John O.
