V. CONCLUSIONS
Underground development has progressed beneath Foidel Creek
without any measurable surface subsidence taking place. Underground
development has progressed in lst Panel South with some measurable
subsidence taking place in the full pillar extraction area. The
first measurable subsidence occurred August 21, 1986. Monuments
SM-26 through SM-30 experienced subsidence movement from 0.3 feet
to 1.0 feet with maximum subsidence of 1.0 feet on monument SM-27.
The spoils slope south of the mine facilities are currently stable
at a 2H:1V slope.
A surface reconnaissance survey was conducted of all the mine
permit area, to determine if there is any evidence of possible
differential movement, or structural damage to surface facilities
associated with underground mining. There is no apparent evidence
of differential movement or structural damage to surface facilities.
The next scheduled resurvey of subsidence monuments and surface
structures, will begin in September, 1987, and will be followed by
another resurvey in December, 1987.
•
•
i
