L_J
•
i. HYDROLOGIC MONITORING PLAN
Requirements
Colowyo has committed to a surface and groundwater monitoring plan sufficient to verify the
predicted effects of mining activities. Specifically the plan addresses the following:
1) Monthly flow and quality analysis for Goodspring Creek and Taylor Creek; 2) quarterly
groundwater level and quality analysis in updip and downdip minesite wells and a downdip
Gossazd rail loadout well. Results aze submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology in an
Annual Report. Quarterly monitoring will, at a minimum, include chemical analysis of all
parameters listed below:
SURFACE AND GROUNDWATER (quarterly)
Phosphate
Conductivity at 25° C
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
Mercury
Arsenic
Iron
Ammonia
Nitrate (Wells only)
Calcium
Bicazbonate
Magnesium
Selenium
Nitrate-Nitrite
SURFACE WATER (monthly)
pH
eC
Temperature
TSS
Flow
surface water- total recoverable
metals
pH
Lead
Manganese
Sodium
Sulfate
Zinc
groundwater -dissolved metals
Results
Colowyo continues to adhere to the approved hydrologic monitoring plan. Additional details of
this plan aze explained in the CDMG Permit, Volume 1, Section 4.05.13. Cumulafive data and
graphs for previous yeazs data as well as data for 2000, aze presented for this Annual Report in the
following exhibits:
Exhibit 1 - Goodspring Creek and Taylor Creek Water Data.
Exhibit 3 - Gossazd Well, North Goodspring Well and A-6 Well.
