•

GROUND WATER MONITORING
Quarterly water samples are collected at monitoring wells AA-1 and AA-3 using a hand
bailer. The results of groundwater data collected during 1998 and pertinent water quality
parameters are found below. Depth to water is measured from the top of the steel casing on AA-
l and top of the 2-inch PVC pipe for AA-3. The location of the alluvia] wells can be found on
map, "Figure 11", in Appendix A. Graphs and well completion diagrams are presented in
Appendix B.
Monitoring well AA-1 was destroyed by the November 1997 slide and has not been
replaced.
MonitorinE Well AA-1:
Quarter Date pH
- su Temp °C Depth
feet Cond.
umhos/cm TDS
ppm Oil or
Grease
1" Destroyed by Slide
end Not Replaced
3i°
4's
Monitoring Well AA-3:
Quarter Date pH
su Temp °C Depth
feet Cond.
umhos/cm TDS
ppm Oil or
Grease
1"
2nd 6/30/98 7.6 11.8 6.3 240 120 None
3ro 8/10/98 6.7 15.6 8.0 580 290 None
4'" 11/16/98 7.6 12.8 8.3 540 270 None
Findines:
AA-1 No laboratory results are available for AA-1 since this well was destroyed in November
1997 and laboratory samples are typically collected in December.
AA-3 The field parameters for this well are similar to historic averages.
-~-
