Ken Klco <br />Hayden Creek Road, Coaldale, Co. 8061 <br />(719-942-4164) <br />Leadville, Co. £;0461 <br />SOLt.7ECT: Revegetation of mine waste piles. <br />Progress Report: ?]ay 24, 1908 - June 10, 1988 <br />SQMMARY OF ACTIVITY': After surveying the site arena, several <br />seedling and bare-root plant holes were observed as damaged. <br />It was recommended to repair these holes as a first priority. <br />Eight hundred and thirty two seedlings arrived 91ay 24, 19~C <br />frcm Pleasant Avenue Sursery. Approximately 375 - 400 of those <br />plants have been planted. <br />Additic,nal irrigation line was neccesary to begin planting <br />in quadrants ell and lower r5. Irrigation lines were laid and <br />have begun planting in both areas. <br />S[}M.MARY OF ACTIVITY FOR SPECIFIC TASKS: <br />11. Irrigation - Extending line n2 (see rnap =1) south ~ 150 <br />feet, with two fingers each @ 75 feet, in perpindicular direction <br />to the main line. Extending line ;5 (see nap rl) 300 feet with <br />an L-shape from south to north-west, comr~]eted the newly <br />contoured ir~a; both arc as were now eligible for planting to <br />Legin. <br />'i. .after observing the site, it wn5 reconmended that many c:f <br />t1i~ planted holes lead t.o he rFl!aired due to p:eL]ems with the <br />mulch and ether debris covering the budding bare-root plants. <br />S.~rnr• pf ih<• pl.{n t. hcles were discoverer] to i,e d~~d.
