have all been revised to correlate the old site (and map) name to the •
new (Paradox) computer name. The new computer name will be used
throughout the following text.
Meteorological Data
Precipitation data is collected from a Belfort Weighing Bucket Rain Gage
situated adjacent to Surface Water Site SW-S2W-FG1. Data for this year
may be found in Table 1. Total monthly precipitation data collected at
this site since Water Year 1990 are presented in Table 2. The Seneca II-
W precipitation gage measured 18.25 inches this year. This value is 0.54
inches (3~) above the 1990-2003 average of 17.71 inches. Temperature,
wind speed, and direction data from the Seneca IZ-W Meteorologic Station
are presented in Appendix B.
Data from the National Climatic Data Center's Hayden Station is used
here to evaluate the precipitation trend. For this year, 18.62 inches
of precipitation was measured, which is 1.28 inches (78) above the 1971- •
2000 average. December, February, April, May, June and September were
all above average. Snowpack runoff, as estimated by totaling November
through April precipitation values, was 11.33 inches, which was 2.58
inches (29~) above the 1971-2000 average.
Snowpack runoff, estimated using the Seneca II-W precipitation gage, was
10.02 inches (November-April total), which is 0.96 inches (28~) above
the Seneca II-W 1990-2003 average. These values are more relevant than
the Hayden Station data when evaluating the spring runoff observed this
year at Seneca II-W.
Ground Water
Water Levels. Water levels for all wells that are in the current
monitoring program are presented in Appendix C. Hydrogr aphs of all
historic data for each well are pre sented prior to the wat er level
reports (for all data since 1999) for each respect ive well in the same
appendix. By presenting all histo ric data, trends related to seasonal
2
