C~ <br />Seven of the eleven samples experienced exceedences of the sulfide <br />standard. Any sulfides present in surface water should eventually <br />oxidize to sulfates. <br />NPDES Effluent Criteria (Permit No. CO-0000221). No excursions of <br />NPDES effluent criteria occurred this year. <br />Surface Water Summary. Flows from Ponds 005 and 006 were 63~ and 135$ <br />of their historic averages. No flow was observed at Pond 009 this year. <br />TDS values at NPDES sites 016 and 006 are increasing, as are TDS values <br />at all three downstream surface water sites (WSHF1, WSDS, and WSSF3). <br />The TDS trend at NPDES 005 is stable and is decreasing on NPDES 015. <br />Discharges are normally suitable for livestock, but sometimes exceed <br />water quality standards for irrigation and aquatic life. <br />American Public Health Association (Ed.). 1985.
