Wl6L19MS F086 CO~IPAfl1*
October 22, 1990
CERTIFIED P 568 142 138
Mr. Fred Banta
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
215 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Fred:

OCT 2 5 1990
Mined Land
Reclamation Division
Subject: Annual Sand and Gravel Operation Report for 1989-90, and Notice of Intent to
Continue Mining Operations (Permit No. M-84-168).
Enclosed is our 1989-90 Sand and Gravel Operation map and copy of annual fee payment
$350). Payment was previously made to the Division in September 1990. The Williams
ork Company intends to continue mining operations through 1991. A brief discussion of
our 1990 activities follows. The ma shows the surveyed location and number of acres which
have been actively mined (9.8 acres and/or partially disturbed (20.9 acres) through October
22, 1990. The partially disturbed acres include topsoil stripped areas and vehicle traffic
areas.
No acres have been permanently reclaimed to date. There were no fertilizers, organic
materials nor soil conditioners used in 1989-1990. Topsoil removed during our pit advance
in 1990 was placed on the existing topsoil stockpile and an additional pile created this year.
These stockpiles (1.3 acres) were stabilized and seeded in 1990. The species seeded appear
in Table E-3 of our permit.
The Williams Fork Company proposes to affect less than 10 acres in the coming year. As
stated above it will be in area 3.
Additional remarks the Williams Fork Company wishes to address for this report are as
follows:
1) Mined acres in 1990 - 2.2, New Disturbance Acres in 1990 - 4.1.
2) Dewatering During 1990 - 51.9 acre/feet. (10/1/89-9/30/90 NPDES Permit Term)
3) Note map changes for stockpiles.
P.O. Box 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (303) 824-4401
