Below is a summary of interim reclamation <br />activities conducted during 1997. <br />Area I, Mine Site <br />We seeded 11.3 acres of [he mine site in connection with the construction of a process water pipe line <br />leading to our new wastewater treatment plant. The new treatment plant is governed by Colorado <br />Department of Public HealCh and Environment, Water Quality Division permit requirements, and is not <br />regulated by [he Division of Minerals and Geology. As reported on the attached form, we also applied one <br />ton of urea to the grass areas located around our office building, road cuts, and waste dump. <br />Area 9, Mill Site Tailing Basin <br />The tailings water pool elevation increased [0 8,795, which increased [he disturbed acreage to 938 acres. <br />The total anticipated disturbance through 1998 is estimated at 963 acres. One tailings bench on Dam I <br />was resloped to a Flatter slope, capped with 35,000 cubic yards of soil, and 28 acres seeded. An ~ dditional <br />6.5 acres were seeded on Beaz Paw Gulch. <br />General Mill Site <br />The Grand Counry Weed Control agent was retained to provide ongoing noxious weed control for the Mill <br />site and the Kremmling railhead.
