~'
t -~
Randy Price - 3 - April 22, 1985
Inspections later this spring and summer should include detailed observations
of species establishment, and revegetation techniques (including timing and
rate of irrigation and manure mulch incorporation). Success of revegetation
along the pipeline corridor should be checked.
In summary, I am making the following recommendations:
1. Coors should evaluate the test plots established in 1978 (including
sand over clay, individual species and mulch comparison plots) and
submit test plot data and interpretations to the Division. Cover
and/or production data should be collected by species. If appropriate,
modifications to the current reclamation techniques should be
recommended, based on the test plot evaluations.
2. Coors should submit a plan for periodically monitoring the success of
revegetation and for monitoring test plot results.
3. The fall 1984 test plots should be sampled later this summer. Density
and/or cover by species would be appropriate.
DM/co
Attachment
cc: Mr. Bob Liddle
Mr. Mike Long
Doc. No. 9462E
