This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary <br />Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The <br />Financial Warranty for this operation is $111,500.00, the permit- <br />ted area is 1,239.40 ac. and the pit is divided into 9 Reclama- <br />tion Phases. An amendment was approved on August 25, 2004 <br />allowing development of Longhorn Lake and a portion of Sharkeys <br />Lake as developed water storage. We are still working on acquir- <br />ing the bond for this change that will raise the financial <br />warranty to $2,989,000. <br />Please refer to the annual report map attached for the <br />location of the areas discussed in this permit. We have chose to <br />use an excerpt from the Mining Plan Map showing just the dis- <br />turbed area. We will deal specifically with each of the Annual <br />Report requirements outlined in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and <br />Regulations and the annual notice letter. Please note the <br />address and phone number changes. <br />(i) Mining continued year on a 10.16 acre ± area on the terrace <br />deposit in the Highlands Lake area (brown). Mining also <br />began on a 9.28 acres ± section of Sharkey Lake west of the <br />existing Plan Site (brown). The 42.80 acres ± is being used <br />as Plant Site and material stockpile area (orange). The <br />85,000 yd3 of topsoil and waste rock was stored south of the <br />excavated area (\\\). The topsoil will be saved and used for <br />reclamation. The fresh water and settling ponds cover <br />approximately 1.61 ac (blue). <br />(2) No reclamation was required this year. Grading and shaping <br />in the Highlands Lake area will begin this year as required <br />in the approved plan. Once it is complete the area will be <br />seeded. <br /> <br /> <br />
