LC 14.0 <br />R E C L A M A T I O N R E Q U I R E M E N T S <br />14.1 CRUS[iER, SORTER, WATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />STORAGE AND DRYING AREAS, AND ORE TRAN <br />These sites shall be decontaminated to background radiation <br />ranges in accordance with applicable state and federal <br />regulations in effect at the time, based on a statistically <br />defensible set of soil measurements with depth. They shall be <br />reclaimed in accordance with the requirements of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board permit and returned to unrestricted <br />use. <br />14.2 CRITERIA <br />14.2.1 Contaminated materials remaining from decommissioning after <br />final facility shutdown shall be removed, treated and disposed <br />of in a manner approved by the Department. <br />14.3 RECLAMATION SURETY <br />14.3.1 The licensee shall maintain in force a surety pursuant to <br />RH 3.9.4 of the Radiation Regulations for the decommis:aioning <br />and decontamination of the crusher-sorter, ore storage and <br />transfer areas, and for the reclamation of the water treatment <br />plant and impoundments and drying areas. <br />14.3.2 <br />14.3.2.1 <br />AMOUNT OF SURETY <br />The decommissioning, decontamination, and reclamation :surety <br />shall be maintained sufficient to fully comply with LC 11.1.8 of <br />the Radiation Regulations and 6 CCR 1007-1. The Suret:~ <br />Agreement entered into between the licensee and the St:ite is <br />hereby incorporated by reference as a condition of the license. <br />A surety of $663,879 is necessary to insure compliance according <br />to the following schedule (in 1982 dollars): <br />Crusher Sorter and Ore Storage Area <br />Decontamination of buildings <br />Removal of buildings and pads (Net above MLRD bond) <br />Removal of underlay materials <br />Decontamination of equipment <br />Transportation for disposal <br />Soil Material* <br />Clay (delivered and compacted)* <br />Topsoil (delivered and compacted)* <br />Mulching* <br />Seeding* <br />Fertilizer* <br />* covered by MLRD bond <br />-32- <br />$ 26186 <br />320 <br />2396 <br />1750 <br />4920 <br />16800 <br />
