13.4.11.3 Sediment Sampling <br />Sediment samples shall be taken at yearly intervals at the <br />surface water sampling locations, in the mine water em~argency <br />storage pond, Long Lake, and in Ralston Reservoir, as ~aarly in <br />the year as the Spring thaw permits. <br />13.4.11.4 Soil Sampling <br />Soil samples shall be taken at yearly intervals proximate to the <br />air sampling locations. <br />13.4.11.5 Vegetation Sampling <br />Vegetation, forage, and crops shall be sampled three tames <br />during each growing season at the locations identified in the <br />Procedures Manual required by LC 11.1.8. <br />13.4.11.6 Fauna Sampling <br />Data from fauna sampling will be acceptable only if thc: sampling <br />is done in accordance with requirements with of the Colorado <br />Division of Wildlife and as approved by the Department., <br />13.4.11.7 Semiannual Report <br />The results of these monitoring requirements shall be included <br />in the licensee's semiannual environmental monitoring report to <br />the Department. <br />13.4.11.8 Annual Review <br />The monitoring program shall be reviewed annually with the <br />Department for adequacy and will be modified in the procedures <br />manual to reflect current needs in accordance with LC 7.3.3.2.1 <br />13.4.12 SAFETY INSPECTIONS AND AUDITS <br />The following safety inspections and audits shall be performed <br />by the licensee: <br />13.4.12.1 Daily Inspections <br />Trained personnel shall conduct and document a daily visual <br />surveillance of all ore crusher sorter and waste water treatment <br />areas to insure proper implementation of good radiation safety <br />practices, including good clean-up practices to minimize surface <br />buildup of radioactive particulates. <br />-21- <br />
