Mr. Roy Kazo
Seneca Coal Company
Page 2
4. As requested, SCC utilized the Division's new ARR page 1 report form. The
Division identified several discrepancies with reported acreages for active mining
areas, facilities or long-term mining, disturbed acres, and backfilled and graded
acres during our preliminary review. On July 21, 2005 SCC submitted revised
forms for all three mines via facsimile. Original copies of the revised forms
should be submitted to the Division for inclusion into each ARR, respectively.
There still appears to be some inconsistencies between the ARR report form and
the 2004 Reclamation Map. The Calendaz Yeaz acreages on the report form do
not match precisely with the amounts given on the 2004 Reclamation Map. The
biggest discrepancy is with the backfilled and graded acres. The Reclamation
Map shows 77.1 acres backfilled and graded in 2004 and the report form indicates
100.8 acres. Please recheck the Calendaz Yeaz totals reported on the form to
ensure that they match the reclamation map. Also the numbers presented on page
2 of the ARR report text does not match the revised ARR report form acreages.
Please ensure that the acreages aze the same and accurately reported on the
reclamation map, the ARR Report form, and page 2 of the report text and submit
revised page(s), ARR form and map.
Please submit the requested information and revised ARR report pages within 45 days of
receipt of this letter or no later than October 6, 2005. Please call me or Sandy Brown if
you have any questions regazding this ARR review letter. Thank you for your ongoing
cooperation.
Sincerely,
/~~ P ~?~
Michael P.
