APPENDIX I

Trapper Mine Annual Groundwater Report
Histories of sites without analytic results
Site GA-1
Well site was drilled November iL, 1974. Total drill hole depth is 177
feet. Since May 1975, Trapper has been unable to obtain sufficient water for
analyses. The largest sample volume to be obtained was 1 liter in April 1976.
The well was bailed September 27, 1982 by a commercial water well service. Due
to insufficient water, a sample could not be obtained in December 1982.
Site GZ-1
Well site GZ-I was drilled February 1979. The total drill hole depth was
398.9 feet. Water levels were obtained in February and March 1979 at - 396 feet.
Since March ]979, electric water level indicators have not detected a static
water level.
GRR sites
Under a 1980 cooperative agreement between Trapper Mine and Northern Coal
Inc., Northern agreed to monitor and maintain the three wells ~GRR-1, 2 and 3)
according to frequencies and parameters specified by the CMLRD. The data pre-
sented are the results of Northern's efforts until December 1982. Trapper Mine
is resuming monitoring responsibilities for these sites per Table 4.8-12 of our
permit.
Site P-5
Well site P-4 was monitored as P-5 in 1981. A map placement error was the
reason. Map corrections and stenciled well identifiers will prevent this error
in the future.
WSH/js
(/28/83
