Climax Mine Summer 2005 Visual Enhancement Reclamation Projects rnaee z orz~ <br />Visitor's Overlook Tailine Removal Area <br />Located just north of the Visitor's Overlook on Highway 91, this project consisted of removal of <br />historic tailing and replacement of 300 cu yds of onsite topsoil, followed by revegetation work. <br />John Reed Access Road <br />A quarter mile of the John Reed access road was re-contoured with a hydraulic excavator, water <br />bars were constructed, and approximately 0.7 acre of graded area received a seed and fertilizer <br />treatment. <br />Lake Irwiu Tailine Removal Project <br />Approximately 2000 cu yds of historic tailing on 1.2 acres were removed from the road above <br />Lake Irwin in the northwest comer of Robinson Tailing Pond. <br />3-Sided Visual Berm at No. 2 Dam Pipeline <br />Approximately 740 cu yds of topsoil were used to cover 0.9 acres of a visual berm located along <br />the 2-dam pipeline route in the northwest section of Robinson Tailing Pond. This area was <br />seeded following topsoil replacement. <br />North 40 Yard Visual Berm <br />A 10-foot high berm of rock along the western perimeter of the North 40 Yazd was constructed. <br />Approximately 360 cu yds of biosolids and 50 cu yds oftopsoil were used to cap the berm, and it <br />was hydro-seeded following the capping effort. <br />
