They follow by category and number
according to your letter.
Surface Water
1) Flow measurements in Second Alkali and Magpie Creeks are taken on an opportunistic
basis in accordance with Exhibit 25, Hydrologic Monitoring Plan. The flow
measurements and samples are taken during significant flow events. In the years that
EFCI has monitored these creeks, significant flow events occur rarely even in response
to heavy precipitation events. The flow measurements documented in the 1994 AHR,
similar to previous reporting periods, are typically the only significant flow events that
occurred during each monitoring quarter.
2) EFCI reviewed its surface water monitoring and sampling data for the 4th quarter of
]995. These records show that Newlin Creek and Oak Creek were monitored and
sampled on May 19, 1995, and only Second Alkali Creek was monitored on April 25,
1995. This information is corrected on Table 14 of the AHR and attached hereto for
your records.
3) Based on the monitoring data review mentioned above, the records show that Magpie
Creek was sampled and monitored on April 26, 1995. This correction has also been
made on attached Table 14.
4) EFCI always visually monitors for oil and grease at the creek monitoring points. There
has never been any indications of oil and grease at any of the monitoring locations. In
the future, a zero entry will be made in the analytical data to indicate this condition.
