Lamm
Governor
DATE: September 26, 1985
T0: Susan Mowry
FROM: Jeff Deckler ',/~
RE: Empire Exploration Hole Reclamation
File No. CX-126-10
On September 11, 1985, during a complete inspection of the Energy 5 and 6
Mines, Gregg Squire and I inspected some exploration drill hole reclamation
for which bond release has been requested. My findings on the holes I
inspected are as follows:
Hole F - Sealing, grading and topsoiling appear to have been successfully
completed. Vegetative cover is mostly weeds, with some grasses
establishing. Bond should probably be retained for revegetation
until grasses are better established.
Hole G - This hole is located in the middle of a wheatfield. 100% bond
release is recommended.
Hole H - Sealing, grading and topsoiling appear to have been successfully
completed. Some tension cracks were noted on the pad area;
however, there is no evidence that the topsoil is sliding towards
the adjacent road. The establishment of grasses is good. I think
I might retain bond on this hole and see what happens with the
cracks.
Hole I - Sealing, grading and topsoiling have been successfully completed.
Vegetation on the site is mostly weedy, with sparse grasses
beginning to establish. Money for revegetation should be retained.
Check with Gregg and Joel on the holes they inspected.
3663F/cj
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
