BO% 2182 <br />DURANG O, COLORADO 81302 <br />November 3, 1986 <br />• <br />OFFICE :103 24~~0116 <br />RESIDENCE 24 ~~]}g0 <br />T0: National King Coal, inc. <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Subsidence bonitoring, i'ourth r~~uarter 19.16 <br />1) The fourth quarterly visual .inspection for subsidence at the <br />King Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado was made of Octob~.~r 23, <br />1986. <br />2) Survey stations will be monitored by Clifford Schmid, L.S. <br />during the second quarter of 1937. Two new stations i:ave been <br />established over new workings. <br />3) No new evidence of subsidence is apparent. The surface atove <br />both old and current workings was inspected on October 23, 1936. <br />The surface was examined for evidence of slump, subsidence, shear- <br />ing, crac:<s in bedrock, vegetation damage and water infiltration. <br />4) The purpose of the inspection was to meet requirements of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division for quarterly monitoring <br />of the surface of the King Coal t9ine for subsidence. <br />,~ - <br />:Fred M.
