Pond 83 overlies an area of the East mine inactive since 1984. No <br />retreat mining has occurred In the vicinity. Monitoring of Pond 83 will be renewed 1 year prior to further development of the East mine with quarterly <br />slow, field parameter, and water level measurements and an annual water quality sample. <br />
