The only reclamation activities conducted during the year were associated
with repair of the Pond 1 embankment during the months of August and September 1995.
Broadcast interseeding and raking was completed following repair of the embankment and
access Corridor. The Pond 2 embankment was also interseeded to improve vegetative cover.
Areas Seeded are displayed on the attached map and accounted for approximately 2 acres.
Seed mix and rate applied were consistent with those approved in the permit.
On July 28, 1995, a thistle spraying program was conducted. This program was approved
by MR-06 of the permit. A 2 percent solution of Hi-Dep (a 2-4-dichlorohpenoxyacetic acid
compound) was sprayed with a hand sprayer directly on thistle plants in the Pond 1 and 2
areas and around the entrance gate. Subsequent site visits indicated that this treatment was
successful in killing plants which were sprayed.
Should you have questions or if you need additional information concerning these
reclamation activities, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
~~ `K.
Jerry H.
