2. Drawdowns of approximately 60 feet may have occurred in
the Twentymile sandstone at the location of well 91M005.
No discernable changes in water level are noted at this
time in well 0o6-BRDH7. No significant water quality
changes are apparent from data collected at these wells.
3. .The Trout Creek sandstone wells reveal water level
changes due to pumping by the mine or mining itself.
Page 2.05-111 of the approved permit require that Trout
Creek wells in the vicinity of the mine be monitored if
the sandstone shows impacts due to mining. The Division
reminded TCC of this commitment in a letter dated
11/25/94 after review of the 1993 AHR. Please submit
data collected to-date for the wells in the vicinity.
4. Data appears to indicate a 20 foot decline in Fish Creek
sandstone well 91-M004 since the fall of 1993. Does this
decline correspond to undermining during 1994?
Alluvial Wells
1. The conductivity in well 0o1-S-5 has exceeded 2000
umhos/cm for the first time (twice) since monitoring
began. Also, the lowest water level in the last 5 years
was recorded in 1994.
2. Well 008-AV-2 shows a generally increasing trend to its
current value of 1300 mg/1 total dissolved solids.
3. Water levels in 1994 in well 006-AY-1 on Fish Creek show
a rise of approximately 4 feet. This may be due to
damming of water near this station (field inspection,
July 1995).
4. The two highest ever EC values above 3500 umhos/cm were
recorded in well 006-AW-2.
5. Some of the highest ever EC values since 1986 were
recorded in well 008-AU-3 and the lowest water level ever
was recorded.
6. 008-AW-3 indicates EC values were measured above 3500
umhos/cm, the highest since 1990.
Surface Water
1. The mean quarterly conductivity on Foidel Creek at site
800 continues to increase, now at approximately 3400
umhos/cm.
2. Excluding the 1993 high EC on Fish Creek at site 27A due
1st panel south dewatering, the two highest mean
quarterly values ever were calculated in 1994.
