Actually I should have
requested to initiate reclamation. In any event we do not plan to
mine the Swallow Pit again, and have by phone to Mr. James Dilley,
informed him of our plan to begin reclaimation. That phone call
dated April 15, 1997.
On April 23, 1997 Nordyke Construction, Westcliffe, CO, contoured
to specification the disturbed area and spread the stockpiled
topsoil.
In May, 200 lbs of seed mixture was purchased from Curtis & Curtis,
Inc. , Clovis New Mexico. In June this seed was broadcast and covered
with straw. We have checked this seeded area and seem to have a
good stand of plants. A berm was also installed to insure proper
water retention in event of a heavy rainfall, this increased the
capacity of the pond. This pond has been almost completely dry
most of the summer. We are hoping for a fairly wet winter in
hope that our newly seeded area will do well.
jjSiinngereeVSo /ly, L72?
4E e 'e M. teiner, Sec.
Persolite Products, Inc.
