NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC.
Project: Refuse Pile
Location: Foidel Creek Mine
Client: Twentymile Coai Co.
Project No.: 99-3983
Report No.: 7
Date: 6/26/02
Time: 4.0
Mileage: 50
Engr./Tech: BDL
Work Performed:
As requested, we visited the project site on this date and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 210 through 219
on the material being placed in the refuse coal pile.
Twentymile Coal Company crews had placed and compacted processed waste coal in Area 1 and Area 2 of the
Refuse Pile. We obtained a moisture sample at each test location and a bulk sample of the material was obtained
and delivered to our laboratory for checkpoint Proctor determination. The checkpoint matched Proctor No. 3.
Remarks:
The material tested generally met project the project specifications for compaction with the exception of test
numbers 211, 213 and 218.
Please refer to the attached sheet for results of today's testing.
Verbal Discussions:
Dave Wallace and Rick Mills of Twentymile Coal Co. were notified of today's test results. We advised them to
scarify and blend the failing areas prior to recompacting them.
