Only comments 9 and 17 require a response from you; comment 5 reminds you of PE stamps required on pond reports. 1. Fulfillment of annual reporting reyuirements. The reports fulfill for 1997 and 1998 the annual reporting requirements of Section 2.04.13 (reclamation report) and Section 4.05.13(4)(c)(hydrology report). 2. Compliance with NPDES reporting requirements. The permittee filed quarterly Discharge Monitoring Reports as required. 3. Compliance with NPDES limitations. There were no discharges in 1997 and 1993 From the NPDES discharge point (the sediment pond), hence NPDES limitations were not exceeded. Virtually all runoff from the permit area is routed through the pond. The pond has not discharged for at least 5 years, now. 4. Fulfillment of quarterly pond reporting requirements. The permittee filed quarterly reports as required, but is reminded the repons should be PE-stamped. 5. Fulfillment of surface water monitoring requirements specified in permit. The operator complied with the triennial sampling frequency and the reporting of field parameters that are specified on page 65.06 of the permit. 6. Comparison of reported surface water data with historical data. The field parameters in the 1997 and 1998 hydrology reports are within [he range of parameters determined in 1980-81at this location (data shown in permit beginning on page 65.32). The 1997-98 data are also within [he range of data reported at [his location in more recent years, 1994-96. No upward or downward trends are evident in the parameters.
