(2) Sloping was completed on 727 feet around perimeter of Phase 2 - PART A and 3260 feet of slope in Stage 2 - PART B (green). The blue cross hatched areas show where we have material stored to create slopes in Stages 2 - PARTS A & B. Only final grading is necessary on these two areas. We continue to monitor the area in Stage 4 - PART B that was reclaimed in 2005. Phases X, Y, & 1 were released from the permit on February 28, 2007. A copy of the release approval letter is attached There is approximately 20,000 cy of overburden stored in Phase 2 - PARTS A, & B & Phase D that will be used on the alpha stages and in Phase 2 - PART A as needed (orange). These piles are in a constant state of flux with material being added and removed as areas are stripped and resoiled. The settling pond is still being used to clean process water {gray). The stockpiles on the lake bottom in Phase 2 - PART A will be removed or leveled as needed. The access corridor is being utilized to cross the highway when material from the mined area is moved to the plant (heavy blue line). Weed control continued this year on the area around the active mine and on the area around Phase 2- PART A. We sprayed Knapweed and White Top on May 1 & 2, 2007 and on May 11, 2007 with water soluble 2-4-D and Curtail'. Approxi- mately 1200 gallons of spray mix was use on the Plant Site area and along the area covered by the yellow line on the map. Spraying is finally beginning to have positive results against the Knapweed and White Top. This is still an uphill battle since there is little or no control taking place on properties surrounding the mine and seed is being wind blown in from offsite areas that we have no control over. Spray- ing will continue as needed. Tamarisk control and Russian Olive removal continued along the mine access road and on the western side of Stage 2 - PART A. (3) Mining will continue on Stage 2 - PART B this year working on the floor until all gravel is mined. In Stage 2 - PART A we will continue to clean the floor in the mined area and removed material from the partially mined area west of the Plant Site until all material is removed from the Stage. In Stage F the mine face will continue to move to the east. If more area is needed, we will resume stripping ahead of the mining face. Overburden will continue to be stockpiled along the perimeter of the mined area.
