The
pit is still being operated by Aggregate, Inc. under a lease from
Suburban Sand and Gravel Co. We completed a Technical Revision
this year that made minor changes to the final lake configuration
and increased the bond to $120,000. This is not a phased opera-
tion but the area needing reclamation at any one time is limited
to 50.00 acres ±. The permitted area is 168.41 acres ±, the pit
HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated
more than 160 days this year. A check for $550.00 is attached to
cover the annual fee. Please refer to the map attached for the
areas discussed in this report.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
requirements in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations and the
question in the Annual Letter.
(1) At the current time we have 126.32 acres ' disturbed in the
pit. This entire disturbed area has been stripped of topsoil
and the topsoil was stockpiled around the site for use in
reclamation. We have approximately 32,100 YD' stockpiled,
covering 9.35 acres ± (purple) around the lake. Of the total
area disturbed at this time 8.43 acres ± is stripped and
ready for mining (yellow); 13.66 acres ± is plant site area
(cross-hatched); 88.52 acres ±, is lake area (blue) and 10.27
acres is resoiled ready for seeding (red & tan). Mining
continued on areas previously disturbed removing an addi-
tional 5.17 acres ± of the stripped area. We partially mine
gravel from 14.93 acres on the bottom of the lake (\\\).
(2) No reclamation was requi his year. The south
shore is resoiled ready for seeding and 11.55 ac ± on the
west and north sides were reclaimed in past years as part of
two Urban Drainage projects (green). We have a total of 7.07
acres ± of bank sloping complete and have began to recon-
struct slopes on the northeast part of the site (herring bone
hatched). The west area was seeded in the fall 1997 and the
