<br />1 <br /> <br /> V <br />Y <br /> <br />Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. <br />Southfield Mine <br />1992 <br />ANNUAL HYDROLOGY REPORT <br />Introduction <br />The 1992 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR) is a summary and <br />discussion of hydrologic monitoring data gathered at the Southfield. <br />Nine during the reporting year July 1, 1992 through June 30, 1993.E <br />This report is prepared and submitted as required by Stipulation, <br />No. 6 of the permit application. <br />The Southfield Mine is a small underground coal mine operated' <br />by Energy Fuels Coal, inc ("EFCI") located 8 miles south of~ <br />Florence, Colorado as shown on Figure 1. Coal is produced by room <br />and pillar mining methods and all production is 'washed' by a heavy <br />media coal preparation plant. The mine and associated facilities <br />were in active operating status for the period of this report. <br />Honitorinq data and information use for the AHR were collected', <br />• in compliance with the approved monitoring programs. In addition, <br />data collected try the previous operator, Dorchester Coal Company <br />(1979-1985) is presented. Essential monitoring data collected and! <br />presented in this AHR includes: quantity and quality of mine, <br />inflows; quantity and quality of discharges to streams; groundwater <br />quality and levels; and stream flow quantity and quality. <br />• <br /> <br /> <br />
