Marr Mine - 2005 Annual Hydrology Report
7.0 LOADOUT AREA SURFACE WATER
February 2006
Two Loadout surface water sites (319 and 320) were monitored weekly from March through June,
then monthly through September, 2005. There was no recorded discharge from Site 319. There
was discharge from Site 320 from April 25 to June 30, 2005 ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 cfs. The 2.5
cfs reading was the highest flow historically recorded for this site. No flow was observed after
June 30, 2005 at Station 320. The sedimentation pond associated with Site 320 filled during
spring runoff and retained some water through September. Site monitoring locations are shown
on Map 2, Loadout Area Monitoring Stations.
As of January 1999, the monitoring program for surtace discharge points (for the mine area) was
reduced to monthly monitoring for a parameter list inGuding flow, temperature, pH, settleable
solids, and oil and grease. For Site 320, only the field measurements (flow, temperature and pH)
are required for monitoring. This data is contained in Appendix A, 2005 Field Data. The historic
flow data for the Loadout is presented on Table 11, Loadout Area Surface Water Quality Data.
Figure 7, Loadout Station 320 -Historical Flow and pH, shows the variation in flow and
associated pH reading at Station 320 for all historic flows measured since 2001.
Surface water sites 316, 317, and 318 were dropped from monitoring as of Qctober 1999. No
data was collected from these sites during the 2004 water year.
TABLE 11 - LOADOUT AREA SURFACE WATER QUALITY DATA
4/25/05 5/18!05 5/26105 5/31/05 6/8/05 8!15/05 6/23/05 8/30/05
STATION 319
Flow Rate cfs NF NF NF NF NF NF NF NF

STATION 320
Flow Rate cis 0.5 1.5 2.0 2.0 2.5 1.5 2.0 2.0
Field Tem erature © 8.0 12.0 14.0 12.0 13.0 17.0 19.0 19.0
H -field s. u. 6.0 8.1 7.9 B.0 8.0 8.0 8.1 8.0
EC-field umhos/cm 100 10D 100 100.0 100 100 100.0 100
NF = No Flow
Note: No Flows on dates not shown
File: 6371/2005/Z(IDS hydmlogy apt Page 15
