<br />(1) Location and number of acres affected durina the year: <br />Western Aggregates, Inc. has been in the process of <br />constructing its plant facilities for most of 1990. These include <br />conveyors, crushers, screens, a rotary kiln, and other equipment <br />and :structures related to the manufacture of expanded shale <br />lightweight aggregate. The anticipated date of commencement of <br />operations is November 26, 1990. As shown on the attached map, <br />areas associated with quarry operations that were disturbed in 1990 <br />totalled 5.5 acres and involved the following: <br />• Truck dump station 2.5 acres <br />• water supply pipeline 0.5 acres <br />• Relocated access road 2.5 acres <br />5.5 acres <br />i~.t the plant site, which was pre-existing at the time of <br />Western Aggregates Inc.'s purchase of the property and is not <br />subject to reclamation, approximately 20 acres of previously <br />disturbed land was regraded, shaped, and prepared for permanent <br />facilities. <br />(2) Locations and number of acres reclaimed durina the vear: <br />i7ntil such time as plant construction is complete and shale <br />mining commences, no reclamation activities will be initiated. At <br />that tame, the following areas will be reseeded: <br />• Water pipeline 0.5 acres <br />• Plant access road 1.5 acres <br />acres <br />(3) Locations and number of acres in various stases of <br />reclamation• <br />No activity this year. <br />
