Lorry,
Diviswn O~reclor
RE: Quarterly Bench Stability Monitoring and Semi-Annual
Hydrologic Bench Monitoring; Blue Ribbon Mine; File No. C-81-047
Dear Mr. Stover;
The Division has reviewed the two reports which list the data
collected during June 1992 for the mine bench stability monuments
and the April and June 1992 data for the piezometer water levels at
the Blue Ribbon Mine.
The survey results indicate that the bench continues to be
structurally stable. Very little movement has occurred since the
monuments were installed in 1985. No Division concerns have
resulted from review of the data collected in June 1992.
The monitoring of the water levels in the piezometers installed on
the face and crest of the portal bench do not indicate any reason
for increased concern. I am assuming that depth to water in the
piezometers are measured in feet. In future reports, please make
sure that all data includes units. Also, it would be helpful in
the Division's review of the data, if graphs of water levels for
all piezometers were included in your semi-annual reports. No
Division concerns have resulted from review of the data collected
in April and June 1992.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
C~G~~~~
Christine E. o nston
Reclamation cialist
a:brbenchrpts
