Road l~27 <br />Oak Creek, Colorado 80467 <br />RE: Review, Annual Hydrologic Report, 1991 Water Year, C-81-071 <br />Dear Mr. Middleton: <br />The Division has completed its review of the Annual Hydrology Report for Mines <br />1, 2, and Eckman Park. Please respond as appropriate to each item at your <br />earliest convenience. <br />General Comments and Errors/Omissions <br />The following items were identified as needing correction in the 1990 review. <br />a) There is a surface water station listed on Table 1 as 706. Should <br />this site be 700? <br />b) Surface stations 301 and 69 should be shown as M (monthly) rather <br />than Q (quarterly) in the Full Suite column. <br />c) Please submit a revised map with ail pond locations spotted with <br />their appropriate discharge station labels (i.e., Pond A (site 39>). <br />These items were noted during the 1991 AHR review: <br />(a) 2 pages were left out of Table 1 (received by Fax). Please submit <br />copies of these pages for inclusion into the 1991 AHR. <br />(b) Figure 22, 25, and 52 are labeled as 1990 water year. Please <br />correct and submit these pages. <br />(c) Site 302 is not shown in AHR Table 1 but is listed in Exhibit 8 <br />(Hydrologic Monitoring Program) of the C-81-071 permit renewal <br />application. <br />(d> Sites 8/2005, 14, 1002, 16, 302 are shown twice in the hydrologic <br />monitoring plan as having saparate (or different) monitoring <br />requirements. Which is correct? <br />te) What is meant by the footnote on page 8-9 of Exhibit 8 ". 4 <br />monthly lab samples obtained once runoff begins? <br />(f) Please include a graph of precipitation vs year for the life of the <br />mine. This data is useful during review and also is required if <br />Cyprus infers hydrologic changes due to climatic changes. <br />(g) Many elevation errors were noted on the elevation listing in the <br />AHR, the Hydrologic Monitoring Plan Map, and Table 1. Specifically <br />Sites 3, 06-82-74C, 302, 307, 301, 69 have errors or inconsistent <br />values for elevations. Please correct all documents to be <br />consistent. <br />
