Gunnison No. ine - Lower Refuse Pile Compaction & Slope
St il' onitoring Report for April & July of 1990
(Permit No: C-80-007)
I have reviewed the two quarterly reports submitted by West Elk Coal for their
lower refuse disposal pile. The reports present the required compaction and
slope stability monument monitoring information for the lower refuse pile.
The reports present the information in a clear and concise format.
The information submitted demonstrates that the refuse has been compacted in
accordance with the specifications and that monitoring of this effort has
occurred on an appropriate frequency. Further, the slope stability survey
monitoring information demonstrates that the face of the pile is not
undergoing any abnormal movement, other than expected minor consolidation
settl ement.
cc: Sue McCannon
Doc No: 9191E
JP/JP
•
