MINED LAND RECLAMATION

Re Annual Report - MLR File No. 77-184 - Fort Collins Pit
The anniversary date of this operation is October 30 , 1982 . Mining is
proceeding on schedule in accordance with the Technical Revision approved
in August 1981 . Reference is made to Section 2 .41 of the MLR Rules and
Regulations :
2.41( 1) No additional land was affected this year. Mining continued in
Excavation Area 3 (see map) .
( 2) No reclamation was completed this year .
( 3) Approximately 0.44 acres along the west side of Area 3 was sloped
3 : 1 . An additional 0. 25 acres± of backfill was placed in Area 2 .
(4) No planting was done during the year .
( 5) Not applicable.
(6) Reclamation attempts to date have been successful . They consist
of backfilling and bank sloping (see map) . Backfilling has been
with building materials.
( 7) Mining will continue in Area 3 . Approximately 4 . 17 acres remains
to be mined in Area 3. If market conditions improve in the next
year, it may be necessary to move into Area 4 during 1982-83 in
which case approximately 2 . 11 acres will be affected.
(8) The effective date of this Annual Report is September 30 , 1982 .
2 . 42 The Annual Report fee of $350 is enclosed.
